With regret the time has come for me to hang up this project.

I’m no longer able to keep on top of maintaining the app, for many reasons including changing personal circumstances and Google doing Google things. It’s had a good run from the first release around mid 2012 and it makes me proud to have been able to make something so many people from around the world have found useful. It started out as a simple project for my own use, now it’s had 21 million downloads. It even got onto The Grand Tour being used by Clarkson for fuck’s sake.

Google removed the apps, and my developer account from the Play Store on 17th Feb 2025 as it’s no longer possible for me to jump through their hoops, so this will be the only place I make the app available to download. I’ll keep them available as long as I can. I’m sure some scrotes out there have ripped it off, filled it with ads or sdks to sell user data and uploaded it to dodgy app stores, but for now the real deal is still here and free for everyone.

It’s been a blast to be honest, and I’m hugely grateful to everyone whose installed it, sent in feedback and suggestions, showed me pictures of how they use it, left a review or simply said thanks. Huge thanks to everyone who thought it good enough to buy the Pro version.
